Rig for Red is an Austrian rock/metal band formed in 2020, when

songwriter and guitar player Nikolaus Gratz and drummer Stephen Miller got together starting to work on a band project.

Soon, the two had recruited Miller's friend Günther Plaschg to play the second guitar and contribute to the creative process. By chance the female pianist and keyboard player Maria-Magdalena Jautz joined the band, so the part heavily missing was a bass player and vocalist. After a long search the band was lucky to be able to inspire Andreas Marberger to join the band as bass player and vocalist in one.

The resulting debut album "Crazy" will be recorded in 2021.

Their ascent was to be relatively quick, driven by high work-rate, effort and a rare musical chemistry, typically combining the amplified guitar-driven compositions with more experimental sounds.
